Best Restaurants in L.A. to Go to for Mother's Day

Mother's Day is soon to come up, and finding the best place to take your mom to can sometimes seem to be a challenge. Thankfully enough, Los Angeles is practically the food capital of America; so this task may not seem so hard after all. To make your search much easier, I curated a list of Los Angeles' best restaurants perfect for your Mother's Day celebration along with some tips to making this Mother's Day a blast!

Morrison Pub | Atwater Village $$

3179 Los Feliz Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90039

Located in Atwater Village, Morrison Pub is a fun, casual place to dine in Los Angeles. Along with the pub's signature drinks, enjoy delicious foods such as: crafted burgers, fish and chips, crispy hot wings, and let's not forget their to die for, bread pudding served with ice-cream and a hot whisky sauce; a mouthwatering dessert you cannot miss. The pub is open from 12 p.m. to 2 a.m. this Friday and Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 12 a.m. this Sunday. Morrison Pub is also taking reservations so I do recommend to make reservations ahead of time before your visit.

Bazille Del Almo | Torrance, CA $$

21500 Hawthorne Blvd, Torrance, CA 90503

Bazille Del Amo is located at the Del Amo Fashion Center and is a part of one of Nordstrom's signature restaurants. Now I know what you're thinking, "Nordstrom's has restaurants?!" As crazy as the idea sounds, a number of their stores have established signature restaurants, and they're all amazing. Bazille Del Amo is one of Nordstrom's best established restaurants and it is definitely worth checking out.

The restaurant provides a sophisticated, open atmosphere offering delicious cuisine such as a savory Skirt Steak Romesco, or even a delicious prosciutto & arugula pizza. The service at Bazille Del Amo is excellent and provides a wonderful atmosphere with wonderful food perfect for Mother's Day. This weekend, the restaurant is open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday. Reservations for this restaurant is recommended so I suggest booking reservations ahead of time if you are looking to dine at Bazille Del Amo.

Habana Vieja Cuban Cuisine and Cafe | Torrance, CA $$

1648 W Carson St, Torrance, CA 90501

Habana Vieja has one of the best Cuban foods you can find in Los Angeles; and when I say the best, I really mean, THE best. I mean, you can tell the chefs are really passionate about the food. Every dish I have tasted from this restaurant was authentic, flavorful, and kept me coming back for more.

The restaurant is very family friendly and very welcoming to its guests. The servers were very helpful when it comes to what the best dishes were to order from the restaurant. But of course, almost every dish on the menu is absolutely amazing.

This weekend, Habana Vieja is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday. Unfortunately, the restaurant does not take reservations so you do need to be there ahead of time.

Bottega Louie | Downtown Los Angeles $$

From the pastries to the savory cuisine, Bottega Louie has got it all. Located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, this classic and chicc Italian restaurant and bakery is perfect for Mother's Day brunch when it comes to fine dining and mouthwatering desserts. Bottega Louie features classic menu items such as a lobster hash, lemon ricotta pancakes, steak and eggs, and much more.

For this Mother's Day, Bottegga Louie is featuring some special desserts to their menu for the occasion. These desserts will only be around from May 11th to May 13th, so be sure to try out these desserts as they also make a perfect Mother's Day gift.

Bottega Louie is open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. for weekend brunch. The restaurant does not accept reservations so be sure to make it early.

Oomasa | Little Tokyo $$

100 Japanese Village Plz Los Angeles, CA 90012

Oomasa is by far one of the best and most authentic Japanese restaurants in the Little Tokyo district of Downtown Los Angeles. Here, you can enjoy handcrafted nori and rolls with other Japanese favorites such as beef udon, crispy tempura, or even a teriyaki bento. If you're ever planning to go to Little Tokyo, I highly recommend visiting Oomasa as it stands out to have the most authentic Japanese cuisine in Los Angeles.

This weekend, Oomasa is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. They do not take reservations so I recommend being there quite early for Mother's Day. While waiting, you can explore the beautiful Japanese village with its unique shops, bakeries, and entertainment of course.

Mori Teppan Grill | Glendale, California $$

120 W Stocker St Glendale, CA 91202

Mori Teppan Grill is definitely a fun and exciting restaurant to visit this Mother's Day. The teppan features a chef cooking on an open grill in front of you while, "playing" with the food. Here, the chefs provide funny and eye bobbling entertainment for the guests while cooking up an exquisite and mouthwatering Japanese meal for you and your family. The teppan chefs do out of this world stunts such as: a volcanic onion, bouncing eggs on the spatula, or even special designed messages on the grill using fried rice. I would tell you more, but I would spoil the rest of the experience for you. So, I definitely think you should check this out as it will be an experience you and mom will never forget.

This weekend, Mori Teppan Grill will be open from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. They do take reservations so I recommend calling ahead of time before visiting the restaurant.
